Hello there!

My name is Megan. I am the creator and recipe-maker behind this little food blog. While I’m a beginner in the blogging sphere, I have been cooking since the age of fourteen. Also, I have had the opportunity to own my own bakery with my sister and work in professional kitchens for the last few years. 

I was born and raised in Texas, but now make my home in Denver,CO with my amazing husband Jonathan and our two cats Jack and Moxxie. I’m an avid artist, reader and could eat sushi for every meal, if my bank account would allow it.

My Mission

My hope is to be able to share my knowledge and love of food with you here in my own personal online kitchen. I’ve always felt that the art of cooking is being lost from generation to generation. Less and less people are learning this skill from their parents and grandparents. We now have access to an incredible amount of information on the internet, but it can be hard to know where to start. I want to show everyone, how exciting, approachable and rewarding it can be to make a meal for yourself and others. My goal is to share recipes, techniques and helpful information about food. I want to help you expand your culinary knowledge and help you feel more confident in the kitchen.

My Vision for this Blog.

As I have grown as a cook, I have also expanded my repertoire to include food from many different cuisines and countries. I grew up in a very small town and my only knowledge of food was that Texas BBQ is the best BBQ and Tex Mex is heavy but SO delicious.  Starting to learn about ingredients and cook foods that were completely foreign to me was extremely daunting. However, it also allowed me to become a more versatile cook and really appreciate how diverse and exciting food can be. I think this is a skill that everyone can benefit from. Which is why you will see recipes from all parts of the world on this blog. My intention is to make them approachable, while still respecting their origins and sometimes adding in my own flair. 

Lastly, if it wasn’t already apparent, I absolutely love eating, cooking and talking about food. It is my dream to turn this into a thriving community filled with avid foodies and aspiring cooks.
